Tennis World Tour Roland-Garros Edition is a sport game revolving around tennis. The game is a continuation of Tennis World Tour published in 2018. In the game, one can find dozens of faithfully reproduced players from all over the world, as well as realistic gameplay model. The game was developed by Breakpoint Studio (the creators of the previous part) and published by the French company BigBen Interactive.
Mechanics
Tennis World Tour Roland-Garros Edition is a quite typical sport game in which you play tennis and compete on the court. In game, one can find dozens of faithfully reproduced athletes (including Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Stan Wawrinka, Kristina Mladenovic, Andre Agassi, and John McEnroe).
The game takes place across several dozen courts / halls, distinguished by many different types of surfaces. The list of locations includes some iconic venues (e.g. the La Caja Magica hall in Madrid), as well as completely new locations such as the modern Roland-Gross courts: Philippe-Chatier, Suzanne-Lenglen or Simone-Mathieu.
The creators also give you a powerful tool to create their own tennis player.
Game modes
In Tennis World Tour Roland-Garros Edition one can play alone (against AI) or with others. Single player enthusiasts will find a realistic career mode in which they take their players to the top of their class, experiencing both hard matches and qualifications, as well as tedious training sessions.
In multiplayer mode, the game allows you to play single matches locally (on a split screen) or via the Internet. In the case of online games, you have access to a table summarizing the achievements of individual players, but there is also the possibility of playing private games.
Technical aspects
Tennis World Tour Roland-Garros Edition offers decent-quality three-dimensional visuals. Particularly noteworthy are the detailed models of individual atheletes, who resemble their real world counterparts, as well as reliable animations, created using the Motion Capture technique. Also the courts, on which the athletes struggle, have been reproduced quite realistically.
