Fatal Shadows (in Japan: Kurenai) is the next installment of the popular Tenchu series of sneakers, in which players take on the role of a professional killer and, on commission, liquidate closely guarded personnel. There are two playable characters to choose from: returning from the previous parts of Ayane and debuting in the Rin series.

Desperate to understand why her peaceful village had been ransacked, young warrior Rin enlists the aid of Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven heroine Ayame on a quest of covert violence and intrigue. What follows is a spellbinding combat and stealth-led adventure through the heart of historical Japan, newcomer Rin dispatching enemies with bare-handed martial arts and Ayame lethal as always with dual swords.
