A strategy role-playing game based on the Japanese classics of the genre. Telepath Tactics is set in a world, which is a blend of fantasy and steampunk. The story campaign focuses on two sisters, Emma and Sabrina. They girls escape a slave labor mine and hide among lizardmen warriors. They raise Emma and Sabrina and teach them the art of war. The sisters decide to use their new skills to gather an army and save their father, who remains enslaved.

Telepath Tactics for PC is a turn-based strategy role-playing game based on Japanese productions of the genre. It was developed by indie studio Sinister Design.

Plot

The game is set in a world blending elements of fantasy and steampunk, featuring no mages or such overused races as elves or dwarves. It does, however, feature psychic powers and steam machines. The cavalry rides gigantic mantises instead of horses, and battles often feature fights between mechanical golems. The most common energy source is a material called vibra.

The story focuses on two sisters, Emma and Sabrina. Years earlier, their family became slaves working in a vibra mine. The girls managed to escape and found shelter among the tribe of lizardmen warriors, who raised them and taught them the art of war. Now the sisters want to use their new skills to gather an army and rescue their father.

Mechanics

The gameplay focuses on turn-based battles. The randomizing factor is minimal and to win, you have to rely on your tactical skills. The game gives your much freedom in battle. You can e.g. push the enemies off a precipice, destroy walls, freeze water, set explosives, move objects, and build bridges. Your army consists of 22 different kinds of distinct units. As the game progresses, your soldiers and heroes gain experience and earn new abilities. Apart from the story campaign, Telepath Tactics for PC features a multiplayer mode for up to six players.
