Tanki Online is a browser-based tanks game, created for multiplayer gameplay. The game was developed by the independent AlternativaPlatform team. The player becomes a tank driver and fights for dominance on the virtual battlefield.
Mechanics
The action in Tanki Online is presented from the third-person perspective. The game focuses on multiplayer battles where we control the titular tanks. Individual machines can be modified by deciding not only on the type of chassis but also on the weapons mounted on the turret as well as the color. We gain access to new weapons by making enough progresses - we gain experience points by exterminating enemies or helping allies, and the measures of our success are the gained ranks and crystals (the in-game currency).
Real-time battles take place in a variety of locations - from military bases, through ports, to urban streets. In addition, there's nothing to prevent you from using the game's built-in editor and creating your maps, which you can then share with the community. It is worth mentioning that unlike other productions of this type, Tanki Online doesn't focus on realism, but on fast, arcade gameplay.
Game modes
Tanks Online offers various game modes. The basic mode is Deathmatch where everyone has to fight for survival. Its variation is Team Deathmatch - players, divided into teams, try to eliminate all the opponents. The game also has Capture the Flag mode where our task is to steal the flag from the opponent's base and transport it to our headquarters. In Capture the Point mode, we fight for strategic points located in the arenas.
Technical aspects
Tanki Online is characterized by a simple but clear graphic design. The production works in the browser window and requires a permanent Internet connection.
