TabletopSimulator is a simulator game that allows you to test a number of popular tabletop games, as well as to create your own and share them with other players. The game was developed by an independent studio Berserk Games.
Mechanics
In Tabletop Simulator the action is shown from the first person perspective (FPP). Production allows us to play with predefined games (such as tricycles, chess, checkers, dominoes, mahjong or even solitaire), as well as with games developed by other players or created by ourselves. Built-in editor allows you to design RPG table games, import image files and finally program scripts.
What's interesting, during the game we can not only play following the rules, but also freely look around, interact with objects (which behave in accordance with the laws of physics) or give an expression of anger after losing and knock over the whole table. Although the title uses virtual reality goggles and dedicated motion controllers, it does not require them to work - the owners of such controllers can easily play with people using only the keyboard and mouse.
Game modes
Although Tabletop Simulator allows you to play alone, the game focuses mostly on the multiplayer mode for up to ten people. You can play with other players via the Internet (communicating with them via voice chat) or in the so-called "hot chair".
Technical aspects
Three-dimensional visuals of Tabletop Simulator present a decent level of performance. The game does not lack animated objects (such as RPG figures), and different sceneries allow you to play in a tailor-made atmosphere.
