Siberia: Gold Edition is a compilation of two parts of a popular series of point'n'click adventures by Microids studio. The French writer Benoit Sokal is responsible for the storyline of both games, and the players have the opportunity to visit many amazing locations in different parts of Europe and solve a number of logical puzzles together with the main characters - Kathe Walker and Hans Voralberg.

Siberia is an adventure game created by the creator of the great adventure game Amerzone. Players take on the role of Kathe Walker, a New York lawyer. It was hired by a toy company to complete the formalities associated with the acquisition of a factory located in a small town in Europe. The action of the game begins when our heroine comes to the factory and it turns out that her owner Anna Voralberg is dead. We need to find her heir (Hans Voralberg) and fulfil our mission. In our search we will go through many different locations (e.g. industrial town, mines and a seaside resort) and we will have to face a number of puzzles requiring logical thinking. Siberia II is a continuation of Siberia, a title that does not need to be presented to anyone - by far the best adventure game of recent years, chosen by all game services dealing with "The Best Adventure of 2002". The screenplay for the game, similarly to its predecessor, was written by a well-known French writer and artist Benoit Sokal, he also took an active part in development works. The plot of the second Siberia is a continuation of the events described in the first part - Sokal himself admits that originally there was one story, which was later divided into two parts: Siberia and Siberia II. Everything begins exactly where the action of the first Siberia ended, i.e. in the Russian city of Romansbourg. In this part, the main characters are Kate and Hans, accompanied by a mechanical Oscar in their adventures. This time Kate decides to follow Hans' footsteps solely because of her personal desire, leaving family matters, work, etc. behind.
