Syberia Collection for PS3 is a set of two installments of the legendary Syberia point-and-click adventure games, which are one of the best received productions of the genre ever. The game's story was written by Benoit Sokal, who also worked on its development. The first installment was originally released on PC in 2002, and the second one two years later. The console port of the game, created over 10 years after the original release, was created by Nordic Games. The production doesn't introduce any larger changes to the gameplay or visuals, but introduces gamepad support.
Plot
In Syberia you play as Kate Walker, a respected lawyer from New York. She was hired by a toymaking company to finalize formalities regarding the takeover of a factory located in a small European town. The story begins when the protagonist arrives in the factory and discovers that its owner, Anna Voralberg, is dead. To complete her task, Walker has to find Voralberg's heir and brother, Hans. In the game, you visit various locations (e.g. an industrial town, mines, and a seaside resort) and solve a range of logic puzzles.
Syberia II takes place right after the events of the previous installment and begins in the Russian town of Romansbourg. This time there are two protagonists, Kate and Hans, and they're accompanied by a mechanical Oscar. In the sequel, Kate decides to follow in Hans' steps, deciding to satisfy her curiosity and desire for adventure, and to leave her family business and job behind. She becomes Hans' companion and helps him to discover a land of living mammoths.
