Super House of Dead Ninjas is an old-school style 2D platformer, created by Megadev studio in cooperation with Adult Swim Games. The player directs the actions of Nintai Ryoko, the female ninja master, who wants to get to the very bottom of the dangerous hell tower to discover what happened to the daredevil who had previously succeeded in this art.

Super House of Dead Ninjas is a commercial version of the highly popular free flash game House from Dead Ninjas. Developers from Megadev studio decided to use proven gameplay elements, which were extended with new solutions, including additional boards and a level editor.

Like the classic 2D platformers, the plot in Super House of Dead Ninjas is of secondary importance. The main character, Nintai Ryoko, is a well-trained ninja killer. Wondering what happened to her predecessor, who descended to the hellish tower, she decides to go deep into the depths and discover the truth about this dangerous place.

The game is set for dynamic action. The game offers several hundred randomly generated levels, each of which must be completed within a set time limit. Many enemies, including bosses and traps, stand in the way. Fortunately, the heroine has a large arsenal of weapons, which can be additionally enlarged by unlocking new weapons during the game.

Compared to the original Super House of Dead Ninjas features more boards, additional types of opponents, a built-in level editor, network rankings, 10 Steam achievements, and a control system with native gamepad support.

The game's audiovisual setting refers to the era of 8-bit and 16-bit computers. Two-dimensional graphics have a clear pixel effect and a limited colour palette. However, the creators have not forgotten about the possibility of displaying the image in 16:9 aspect ratio.
