A simple arcade soccer game with card elements, inspired by coin football and other such activities. The gameplay in Super Button Soccer focuses on short, dynamic duels with the AI or other players. Each player controls a team consisting of four eponymous buttons, and their task is to hit the ball with them so that it ends up in the opponent's goal.
Super Button Soccer, released on PC, is a simple football arcade game with elements of a card game. The game was developed by independent Smyowl Game Studio from Brazil.
Mechanics
Super Button Soccer focuses on short, dynamic matches with artificial intelligence or other players. Each player controls a team consisting of four titular "buttons" and their task is to hit the ball in such a way as to place it in the opponent's goal. The whole was diversified with elements of collectible card games. As the game progresses, players collect special cards, modifying elements such as team formation, starting formation, stadium, ball type, team logos, and outfits. Matches are played in traditional stadiums as well as in less typical scenery such as ice rink, kitchen table, etc. What is worth emphasizing, both the composition of the team, as well as the type of ball or stadium have a significant impact on the physics and dynamics of the game, requiring players to use different tactics.
Game modes
In Super Button Soccer we can play alone by playing single matches or offline tournaments with teams controlled by artificial intelligence. However, the whole project was designed mainly for multiplayer games with friends or random opponents via the Internet, as well as in the local mode for two players.
Technical aspects
From a technical standpoint, Super Button Soccer offers relatively simple audiovisuals, adapted to the casual market. However, the colorful and legible graphics make the game attractive both for real football fans, as well as casual players.
