SUCCUBUS is a first-person action game designed as a side production in relation to Agony. Players play the demonic Sukkuba and focus on exploration and combat with the heroine's magical powers. The game is enriched by light elements of RPG in the form of a tree of skills and equipment affecting character statistics.
SUCCUBUS is an action game in which players observe the action from the first person perspective. The game is a spin-off to Agony and Agony Unrated. All of these games were developed by the Polish team Madmind.
Plot
The action takes place in the same universe as Agony. The story begins some time after the events shown in that game, and players assume the role of Succubus. After the fall of the rulers of hell, the heroine together with Nimrod (the protagonist of the Agony) took over the rule over this cursed place.
However, she did not like the life of the queen - Sukkubus missed the wilderness. During one of the expeditions into this area she is captured by creatures of his species, serving the demon Baphomet, who wants to overthrow Nimrod. The queen is mutilated, but manages to survive, and when she comes to herself, she begins revenge on her torturers.
Mechanics
In terms of gameplay mechanics, the game develops ideas from Agony. In SUCCUBUS we observe the events from the first person perspective. The game focuses on exploration and combat. During the skirmishes we use both the rich arsenal of weapons and the power to control the fire. The authors took care of a large variety of opponents, among which there are plenty of bosses.
The gameplay is diversified by RPG elements. During the game we unlock new skills on the development tree. In addition, we can collect weapons and armor that affect the statistics of the heroine.
Game modes
SUCCUBUS offers only a single player mode. The game does not have any multiplayer mode.
Technical aspects
Like Agony, SUCCUBUS is based on the Unreal Engine.
