At first glance, not much has changed in the second installment of Street Rod. The interface is almost identical, both for buying, modifying and driving a car. However, a lot of new things have been added related to the modifications. In Street Rod 2 we can not only look under the bonnet, but also see the chassis of the car. Twenty-five premiere vehicles and more than sixty parts allow for long and painful experiments with the configuration of our dream car. As in the first part, we earn money here by winning illegal races. The authors of the game have decided to increase the number of available routes (now there are three) and raise the overall difficulty level, so that you will not have to win so easily anymore.
Nothing has changed in terms of visuals - the program still uses up to sixteen colors, which is not a revolution when it comes to choosing a VGA card. The sound is much better - the game gives you the opportunity to resign from PC Speaker in favour of Adlib. Generally Street Rod 2 is a worthy continuation of the original idea. Thanks to bigger challenges on the street and even better possibilities of converting the car, the game should appeal to all those to whom the predecessor seemed to be too banal.
