Starscape PC

Starscape is an arcade game that refers to the classic titles of the genre of space shooters. Due to unsuccessful testing of the new interstellar drive, the Aegis test station hits unexplored areas and suffers significant damage. The player becomes the only combatable pilot. His task is to repel the attacks of the mysterious race of Archnids that controls this area. By controlling a spacecraft visible from above, he tries to perform a number of tasks assigned to him by the survivors. Missions usually concern defense of the base, searching for raw materials, finding elements of destroyed propulsion and exploration of new territories.

Over time, we acquire the means to modify the individual modules of the vehicle equipment. The armament is divided into five separate branches. There is also no shortage of improvements in defensive elements, such as armour and shields. Thanks to this we are able to face more and more enemy armies. Another way to survive is to form alliances with friendly alien races and exchange discovered technologies.

In addition to participating in the main storyline, Starscape offers two additional fun modes: Instant Action and Survival. In the first one, the pilot's task is to complete a specific task in the best possible time. The second one consists in repulsing successive waves of the Archives. For defeating enemies, we receive the raw materials necessary to expand the ship and try to stay alive for as long as possible.

We observe the game from above and move the ship in a way similar to that used in such games as Asteroids or Beat Hazard. Graphics presents itself on average and brings to mind the classics of the genre. The characters were made in comic book style. The maximum supported resolution is 800x600 pixels.
