Star Control II is a combination of adventure strategy with elements of arcade game, with action taking place in space. The universe presented in the game presents itself really impressively. This is because it is composed of over 3000 planets located in 500 star systems. Cosmos is not a deserted place of course - it is inhabited by 18 foreign races, with which we can not only fight, but also trade.

The game offers us the opportunity to create an admiral ship, as well as an entire space squadron. Each vehicle is described by a number of precise parameters such as acceleration, weaponry, speed, firepower, number of crew and fuel reserve. Expeditions to unknown planets and galactic travels are at the heart of the beauty of this magnificent production. In the campaign we can theoretically fly, where we like it vividly, and the only limiter is the fuel supply. Battle mode, not fundamentally different from what was presented in the first part of the game - the fight is similar to the arcade shooting in the shape of Asteroids.

Unfortunately, time does its own and a game created for computers with 80286 (12 or 16 MHz) on board (graphics - 256-color VGA), inevitably can not make a striking impression on today's players.
