A mixture of RTS and RPG species in which we play the role of spacecraft captain. The action takes place in the XXXI century, and the game world has an open structure. We can deal with trade, piracy, mining or become a star mercenary who will carry out orders for the one who will pay the most.
Black Market HD is a mix of strategy and RPG, which allows you to freely explore the vast virtual universe and decide for yourself what your career will look like in this reality. The game was produced by independent Big Block Games studio.
The action takes place in the middle of the XXXI century. Humanity has already developed many planetary systems. Hundreds of years earlier, the worst war in the history of our race ended. So abhorrent acts have been committed that the greatest forces in the galaxy nowadays make sure that such a conflict never breaks out again. Thanks to this, there are good times for enterprising people. We play the role of the owner of a private ship, who wants to take advantage of the good times to get rich. It is only up to us which career path we choose in order to achieve this ambition.
We can trade and transport valuable goods from one star station to another. An equally good way to earn money is mining, where we send specialised probes to collect valuable minerals from the planets. Of course, the world of the future is not one of the safest and sometimes we will be forced to defend ourselves against pirates and hostile factions, or we will hunt our enemies by carrying out lucrative orders. There is even an option to become a cosmic pirate.
For our successes we are rewarded with experience points, thanks to which we advance to the next level and thus improve the hero's skills. However, for the money we earn we can buy new parts for the ship, and if we accumulate really large funds on our account, we will be able to buy a completely new vessel, with more impressive performance and a larger hold. At each space station we will find a bar full of NPCs. Some of them will offer us missions to complete, while chatting with others will allow us to learn the latest gossip.
The game world is full of different factions and by performing specific tasks we often get a good opinion from one of them and at the same time we give reasons for dissatisfaction to another group. Black Market HD allows for full freedom of fun, but also offers an extensive storyline. We have the opportunity to take part in an intriguing story and carry out a number of missions that are not available in any other way.
