Stargunner

When the giant spacecraft of the Barak race appeared in the orbit of the Amdara planet, the inhabitants of Amdara decided to welcome the newcomers and help them colonize the neighboring system. The barracks showed their gratitude in an unusual way - attacking their would-be companions and turning the Orange metropolises into ruins. Two thousand years have passed since those events. In an attempt to get rid of the occupants once and for all, the Terrorist inhabitants of Amdara secretly prepared an elite pilot unit, which was given the code name "Stargunners". As they set out alone on a planet inhabited by the Barracks, they hope to destroy the enemy's huge fleet, thus dropping the yoke of slavery. The player will play one of such daredevils.

Stargunner is a space shooter created by Apogee in 1996. Although the action of the game is observed from the side, the program has a lot in common with another product of this concern - Raptor: Call of the Shadows.

The programme was divided into four episodes, with a total of thirty-four levels. On each of them there are lots of shooting at enemy fighters and stationary defensive equipment located on the ground. Of course, as befits a classic shooting, the game did not run out of so-called "bosses", the elimination of which boils down to attacking their sensitive points, while avoiding the hail of bullets spitting out towards our plane. During the struggle, the player can collect green crystals, which act as the local currency. Just like in Raptor: Call of the Shadows, for the money collected, we will equip our ship with a rich arsenal of means of extermination. Upgrades to existing weapons can also be collected in the form of bonuses after the destruction of some enemy vehicles.

Stargunner is a very spectacular game from the visual side. The three-plan background, rich in detail and varied ships, as well as spectacular explosions will appeal to all fans of shooting. Noteworthy is also the music, perfectly matched to the murderous pace of the action and the sound effects, flowing in a large number of sounds associated with the annihilation of the opponents.
