The player will play the role of a fighter pilot, whose task is to destroy the approaching armada of foreign ships. Only with an accurate eye and incredible dexterity can he do this. A bit of luck will also be useful.
In 1979, Toshiro Nishikado designed a new arcade game, which soon turned out to be a world hit. People were stealing money, giving up work and even ruining their marital life - all in order to lose valuable time to play in Space Invaders. 82 years later, slot machines with the game hit the Earth's orbit and disappeared into the abyss of other rubbish that had long surrounded the blue planet. The world had other, better programs, which displaced the classic hits. Nobody remembered Space Invaders and the frenzy it caused in the minds of simple people. For this reason, little attention was paid when one of the machines left the Earth's orbit and wandered into the infinite space of the cosmos. In 2073, the machine fell into the hands of strangers who, in terms of intelligence, far surpassed the human race. Over the course of several years, under the influence of the game, the aliens changed their attitude towards their distant neighbors and decided to destroy them. Unfortunately, the Earthlings, looking at their own problems, did not notice a hostile invasion. However, something must be done before it is too late.

You can play on your own as well as two people. Each board, and there are dozens of them in total (divided into eleven segments) must end with the extermination of all enemy ships. However, it is not that simple. First of all, our vehicle can only move sideways, which reduces the room for manoeuvre. Secondly, strangers are getting closer to your fighter more and more quickly. If you don't manage to destroy them before they reach the final charge, you can be sure that you won't survive. In addition to your usual opponents, you'll also encounter giant enemy ships in Super Space Invaders. The boss fight takes place after the end of all struggles in a given segment.
Super Space Invaders is a decent adaptation of the classic hit. Taito has managed to combine the huge playability of the original with a pleasant audiovisual setting. Without a doubt, this is the title that every electronic entertainment maniac should know. If you haven't come across the real classics so far, Super Space Invaders is the perfect opportunity to catch up.
