An action role-playing game for mobile devices by Kabam, set in the Star Wars universe. The story takes place after the evens of The Return of the Jedi. Following Senator Palpatine's death, many ambitious leaders try to salvage what remains of the Empire and strengthen it. The player has to thwart those plans. The gameplay of Star Wars: Uprising consists mostly of battling the Empire forces, with the combat system resembling hack-and-slash games.
Star Wars: Uprising is an arcade RPG for iOS set in the Star Wars universe. It was developed by Kabam.
The game takes place soon after the events of Return of the Jedi. The Rebellion won the battle for Endor and Emperor Palpatine died (or so we thought...). However, it does not mean that the whole Empire was immediately disintegrated. Many ambitious leaders have no intention of letting this happen and so they make attempts to consolidate what is left of it. The player’s task is to thwart this plan. Most of the action takes place in the Anoat system, which consists of the icy planet Hoth and the mining colony Burnin Konn, among others. We will also visit Sky City.
The events are observed from a camera placed high above the protagonist’s head. Most of the time, we fight the forces of the Empire in a manner similar to hack ‘n’ slash productions. The game focuses mostly on cooperation mode in which several players join forces against enemy hordes.
Star Wars: Uprising lets the players create their own character and offers a wide selection of races, classes, and skills, so we can create our dream avatar. The game also provides a progression system with which we improve the statistics and abilities of the warriors with the experience points we gathered.
The game world lives its own life. Apart from cooperative missions, we may also participate in wars between player factions that shape the direction in which the situation in the virtual universe develops, including what adventures and locations will be made available in the upcoming updates.
