Star General

Star General is the fourth installment of the strategic cycle, initiated in 1994 by the cult Panzer General by Strategic Simulations Inc. In the new part of the game we move into space to conquer unknown worlds and fight on the surface of different planets.

The plot of the game puts 7 different races against each other, competing with each other in galactic conquests. Among them are insidious Cephalians, Dragon-like lizards, Khalian barbarians, Hressa cat breed, Xritra insectoids, and, of course, people - both those under the rule of law and the separatists associated under the fascist hegemony of Schleinel.

In terms of mechanics, we are basically dealing with the Panzer General in space. Battles are played in the same way on maps composed of hexagonal fields. In addition to fighting, we take care of the economic aspect, mines, factories, etc., of course. The fundamental difference is the range of units with which we will achieve the objectives before us. More than 90 different types are available to players - from land forces, somewhat reminiscent of those of World War II, to a wide range of spacecraft. Among the latter, there were also transport ships, reconnaissance and missileships, battleships, cruisers and destroyers.

In addition to the one-person campaign, according to the tradition of the series, Star General offers the possibility of multiplayer game in "hotseat" mode and via e-mail.
