A card game set in far future and created by ZiMAD - an independent developer. The player joins the fight for control over the galaxy, stepping into the ranks of one of six factions available - those represent different races and have unique technologies at their disposal, which results in a variety of applicable play-styles. This futuristic world has a rich history and the player gets acquainted with it alongside progression.
Star Crusade CCG, available on PC and iOS, is the debut work of independent studio ZiMAD. This space card game was inspired by titles like Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, or The Elder Scrolls: Legends. The game is distributed in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
Plot
Star Crusade CCG takes place in the distant future. Six factions fight for influence in the galaxy - the player can join one of them. Shan'Ti is a race of aliens, capable of creating "living weapons" through advanced genetic experiments. Hierarchs are people with installed cybernetic implants. Annunaki are almost godly creatures, worshiped by some races. Terrans use huge combat machines, Hajir-Gog focus mainly on numbers, and the Consortium bases its strength on trickery and mercenaries. The futuristic universe is characterized by rich lore, which we can learn by playing the game.
Mechanics
Star Crusade CCG is a classic card game, so the game is about building your own deck and testing it in duels with other players. We have more than 400 cards at our disposal, as well as various special abilities, which we can assign to the appropriate commander. The size and components of the individual deck depend solely on our preference.
Game modes
Star Crusade CCG, available on the PC and iOS, has three different modes. Casual Mode allows you to train and polish your skills without any stress, Raid Mode is a campaign - we participate in a war where the goal is to take control of as much of the galaxy as possible. Ranked Mode allows you to compete with other players in ranked matches. In addition to the battles themselves, we can complete a variety of missions and participate in various events - some of them affect only a small portion of the game's world while others are felt throughout the world. By winning, we get special prizes.
Technical aspects
Star Crusade CCG has been released on many platforms, including PC and iOS. An interesting aspect of this production is the possibility of playing with people who own the game on a different device.
