Sproggiwood Description
Sproggiwood, released on AND, iOS and PC, is a turn-based roguelike RPG. The game was developed by Freehold Games studio and is a premium title which means that it has no microtransactions.
Plot
Sproggiwood takes us to a fantasy land inspired by Finnish mythology. The campaign begins on a quiet island known as Clog. We play the role of a farmer who one day while looking after his fields, is kidnapped by talking sheep. It turns out that they act on the order of a forest deity named Sproggi. This creature has built an entire village for us and wants us to help it to subdue the animals. It won't be easy, because a competitive civilization of reasonable mushrooms is beginning to grow nearby. It is up to us whether we defeat them or join forces with them for the common good.
Mechanics
Sproggiwood is a simplified roguelike RPG. The world, including mountains, dungeons, marshes and forests, is generated randomly, so new challenges are always waiting for us. During the game, we mainly explore the land and fight using a turn-based combat system. Our enemies have a variety of skills and can set traps, so it is necessary to change tactics frequently during battles.
There are six character classes to choose from. We can become a farmer, a warrior, an archer, a thief, a wizard or a vampire. Each of these professions has unique abilities and their path of development, in which we improve statistics and acquire new skills in exchange for experience points. The game is diversified by the construction mode of the village, which allows you to construct buildings, roads and decorations, as well as interact with the residents.
