Spirit of the North 2

Spirit of the North 2 is the second installment in a series of adventure games originating from 2019. Like the first game, it was developed by an indie team Infuse Studio and published by Merge Games.

Plot

Like in the first game, the protagonist of Spirit of the North 2 is a fox. The player traverses a fantasy land alongside a wise raven, trying to free the legendary guardians from the shackles of Grimnir, a dark shaman.

Mechanics

Spirit of the North 2 is a third-person game. The world is vast, open and freely explorable, containing beautiful forests, high peaks, ancient ruins and some darker areas, like abandoned strongholds and deep dungeons.

As we traverse these locations, we must solve many puzzles and overcome other challenges. Our raven companion also comes in handy, as he can carry the protagonist through the air. We'll also need to fight enemies, combat encounters being portrayed as complex puzzles.

As we progress through the game, we acquire runes, developing our abilities. We also unlock cosmetic items, which let us change our fox's appearance.

Technical aspects

Spirit of the North 2 features colorful, high-quality visuals. The detailed, varied locations and realistic animations are all very appealing.
