Spirit of Adventure is a Starbyte cRPG game that allows you to lead a team of six daredevils ready to face a mighty wizard. This gentleman cast a charm, making some of the inhabitants of Moon-City and the surrounding area fall into madness and the mania of killing. As you can easily guess, finding and annihilating the evil magician is the main task of the game. Before this happens, however, a group of heroes awaits a whole lot of adventures.
As in most classic cRPGs, a team must be created before the start of the competition. We complete its members by attributing one of the eight professions to our daredevils. Among them you will find skills typical for killers (e.g. Warrior and Samurai), as well as magicians (e.g. Goddess and Priest). The player does not have any influence on the obtained coefficients, he can only try to irrigate them with one of the four levels of advancement. At this point it should be noted that the hero's creation process is not complicated and in terms of the possibility to choose it far from other cRPGs.
We observe the action from the perspective of the first person, using the arrows placed next to the main screen. Interaction with the environment takes place automatically after "entering" a given location - if we can do something in it, a list of possible options will appear on the right side of the screen. The fight is also easy to use: before starting a duel, the player chooses the type of attack for each of the heroes, and then - during the subsequent rounds - our charges follow the instructions given to them. If you encounter a creature that seems to be too difficult an opponent, you can successfully escape.
Spirit of Adventure is an item for less demanding cRPG enthusiasts, or people who have had little to do with the genre so far and would like to try something lighter than most of the available games of this type. Simple rules, a large number of objects and a pleasant audiovisual setting certainly count for the plus.
