A part of a 3-episode DLC for Marvel's Spider-Man. The add-on contains fresh challenges and crimes, a previously unseen faction and new costumes for Spider-Man. In Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps, as the DLC itself is called, both Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson play an important role, as well as the protagonist's former love interest Felicia Hardy, also known as Black Cat.
The Heist is the first, non-standalone expansion to Spider-Man, developed by the authors of the core game, Insomniac Games. The DLC is part of the three-part campaign, The City That Never Sleeps (its other two episodes are Turf Wars and Silver Lining).
Plot
Spider-Man: The Heist begins with the theft in a New York museum. Apart from Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, the mystery of this crime is also being solved by the protagonist's old love, namely Felicia Hardy, known as Black Cat, who pulled the wool over Spider-Man's eyes in the core game.
Mechanics
The Heist episode enriches Spider-Man with a series of new role-playing missions, fresh challenges and crimes, as well as a previously unseen faction that Man Spider has to face. In addition, the add-on extends the protagonist's wardrobe with additional costumes: we can check out the Resilient Suit designed by Gabrele Dell Otto, two developer's own outfits (Advanced Suit and Velocity Suit) and finally the clothes Scarlet Spider II and Spider-UK from the world of Spider-Verse.
