Soviet Strike is the next installment of a series of aerial arcade shooters, which began with Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf, published in 1992. The production tells the story of a secret American military unit, which operates in Eastern Europe and tries to prevent a group of madmen from seizing power in the region.

Story

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, a struggle for influence begins in Eastern Europe. The former head of the KGB, Uri Vatsiznov, also known as Shadowman, plans to overthrow Russia's current government. To this end, he joins forces with the leader of a Caucasus-based organisation, Sadissa Savak, and the scientist Dr. Grimyenko, who owns long-range missiles. To prevent the war, the secret STRIKE military unit undertakes a series of missions to undermine the plans of the former secret service leader and his companions.
