Songs of Conquest: Vanir PC

Songs of Conquest: Vanir is the first DLC for a turn-based strategy game with RPG elements under the title Songs of Conquest, for which the source of inspiration was the Heroes of Might and Magic series. The production was developed by the authors of the original, the independent Lavapotion studio.

New features in the add-on

The biggest novelty introduced in Songs of Conquest: Vanir is the title faction. We are talking about a Viking-inspired people coming from a frosty land in the east. It is formed by new troops, each with unique traits and skills, as well as previously unavailable trustees (heroes).

The Vanirs are not only ferocious warriors, but also can transform into Vildra, which are powerful, murderous creatures, in most cases with animal-like qualities. What kind of creature a Vanir can turn into depends on the specialty it represents. For example, a Huskari can become a Korphan that fights using a beak and claws and can jump over the enemy's back, a berserker can turn into a giant bear, while a w?dz can transform into the mythical Jormr.

In the described supplement, it is difficult to find a new campaign dedicated to the title faction. Instead, a new winter biome has been prepared. The 5 maps for the Conquest mode allow us, among other things, to fight Barya, plunder Aerlon or wander the swamps under Ran's control, while the 2 challenge maps allow us to help the lost troll Sorg find his way home or take on the role of Jarn Steadfast, known as the one who refused to change into Vildra.

The list of novelties is topped off with artifact sets with varying power, available on both new and old maps.

Coop and other game modes

Like the basic version of the game, Songs of Conquest: Vanir can be played as a single player or in a cooperative or competitive multiplayermode (online or locally).

Technical issues

Songs of Conquest: Vanir is a non-self-contained DLC, so it requires the base version of Songs of Conquest.
