Solaris Assault Tech is a multiplayer game that combines arcade elements with a simulator. The game is set in the world of Battletech, known from the MechWarrior series. Solaris Assault Tech was developed by MekTek team, who spend over a decade on creating modifications to the games from this series.

Solaris VII is a planet famous for its giant mech arenas. Gamblers from all over the galaxy are drawn here, and betting amounts are often so high that they can ruin many rich people. The largest city, Solaris City (with more than five million inhabitants), hosts an annual tournament that will select a new champion. This metropolis is divided into six districts and five of them are owned by the Great Houses, which have built powerful arenas for clashes between mechs. This is where players will fight their online battles.

The whole game is about fighting with other players. Despite its arcade nature, the game has many simulator elements - controlling giant and slow robots is not an easy task. The authors have prepared a total of five arenas. The first one is Boreal Reach, which thanks to the use of holographic technology and advanced methods of environmental control can reproduce virtually any location that comes to the mind of its owners. One of the most popular settings is the polar glacier, where the ground is covered with slippery ice, and the very low temperature allows you to take full advantage of the possibilities of a mech's armament. The second is The Factory, a former factory with an interesting multi-storey structure. Ishiyama is a system of tunnels inside an artificially erected rocky mountain. This arena is ideal for surprise attacks, and the electromagnetic interference affecting the sensors of machines makes it difficult to predict the result of any clash. The fourth map, The Jungle, is covered with dense vegetation. Special alarm devices have been placed in the area, which, if necessary, may shrink the size of the battlefield. The last one is Steiner Coliseum - according to the name of the arena it was modeled on the Roman Coliseum. Mechanical walls have been built into the ground, which the owners can freely erect or hide, thus changing the shape of the battlefield.

Solaris Assault Tech is based on the Unreal Engine 3.0, which allows the developers to present full details of the models of the mechs but also to create huge arenas.
