Sol Survivor is a science fiction-based tower defense strategy. The player directs the defense of a distant planet and with the help of various turrets and defensive structures tries to stop the invasion of hostile aliens. The title was produced by independent studio Cadenza Interactive.

Sol Survivor is the first project of the independent studio Cadenza Interactive. The ambition of Californian Orange County developers was to create a tower defense strategy that would go beyond the usual casual gaming patterns.

The Sol Survivor action takes place in the distant future. The player undertakes to defend a colony established on a distant planet, which is threatened by hostile aliens. Its task is to stop intruders using defensive turrets and orbital support.

Like most tower defense games, the key to success is to plan the defense lines properly. The creators have prepared as many as 26 types of turrets, each of which has different combat parameters and works best against certain types of enemies.

The game offers several gameplay variants. Players can try their hand at competing with computer artificial intelligence (including cooperation options) or by competing online with up to 7 live opponents.

Visual setting of the game Sol Survivor clearly indicates the low-budget nature of production. Three-dimensional graphics are based on relatively few detailed textures and simple animations. A large variety of locations and fast pace of the game, however, do not pay more attention to the drawbacks of the beauty of the game.
