S.O.E.: Operation Avalanche Description
S.O.E.: Operation Avalanche is the debut work of the British development team Simian Services. Inspired by classic eagle-only and Navarre Cannon films, the creators prepared a dynamic shooting with elements of a sneakdown in the realities of World War II.
The action of the game takes place in 1943. The troops of the Third Reich are suffering severe losses on all fronts, but Europe is still far from being able to end the war. Meanwhile, in the hands of the Nazis an extremely valuable prisoner of war was found. The Allied Command is making a desperate attempt to get him out of the closely guarded Alpine castle. The mission is entrusted to a well-trained Commandos of the S.O.E. unit. (Special Operations Executive).
Playing in S.O.E.: Operation Avalanche does not differ significantly from the competitive production of the representative genre of first person shooters. A player playing the role of a soldier must move unnoticed in the hostile territory, effectively and as quietly as possible eliminating enemies in their path.
The audio-visual setting of the game presents the level from the beginning of the 21st century. However, this is compensated for by the very low hardware requirements, which make it possible to run S.O.E.: Operation Avalanche even on computers that are several years old.
