Snaccoon is an adventure game with stealth elements. It was developed by Christian Sparks, an indie developer who previously co-created Hyper Light Drifter and Solar Ash.

Plot

Snaccoon takes us to a city where the authorities have completely banned snacking. The main character of the game is a raccoon, who, in order to get his favorite treats, must engage in black market barter. The background of his adventures are various events in the life of the city (such as political scandals or elections for mayor), and although our protégé seemingly has no influence on them, his actions somehow translate into what future awaits the metropolis and its residents.

Game mechanics

In Snaccoon we observe the action from a third person perspective (although at certain moments the camera changes its position, showing the foursome from the side or from a top-down view). The driving force of the game is the quests that involve acquiring certain items, which we then exchange for other things; unfortunately, the goodies that our protégé craves most are at the end of this barter chain.

Completing missions not only requires traversing the city length and breadth, but also involves haste; for we have a limited amount of time to complete a particular task. Fortunately, the raccoon is an extremely mobile animal, which can run fast, climb over terrain obstacles and make distant jumps, and if necessary - hide in the shadows or in hard-to-reach places. This is because the animal encounters enemies on its way, and although it can't fight them, it can sneak behind their backs or hide from them, waiting for the threat from them to pass.

Technical aspects

Snaccoon features colorful, cartoonish graphics. It runs on Unreal Engine technology.
