Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition Description
Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition, released on PC, AND and iOS, is a turn-based strategy in cartoon style, whose plot is inspired by the Japanese legends. The production was developed by 17-Bit (formerly known as Haunted Temple Studios), founded by former EA Los Angeles employees Jake Kazdal and Sam Bird. Bone-A-Fide Edition is an extended version of the original Skulls of the Shogun, which originally appeared in January 2013 on PC, Xbox 360 and Windows Phone platforms.
Plot
Skulls of the Shogun takes place in feudal Japan, captured by the spirits of dead warriors. Resurrected samurais, monks turned into animals and generals with mustache are struggling for the titular Shogun Skulls. During the expedition, the player visits many different lands.
Mechanics
Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition is a classic turn-based strategy with a very intuitive interface. The gameplay is simple but extremely addictive. This is supposed to help also those players who have not been fond of the productions belonging to this genre.
Game modes
Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition can also be played in multiplayer mode, designed for up to four people (at one device or online).
Technical aspects
Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition uses cartoon-like graphics with many elements referring to the production from the '80s of the 20th century. At the same time, it brings to mind the famous Advance Wars series from the NDS console. The game also features an original soundtrack inspired by old samurai films. Compared to the original version of the game, Bone-A-Fide Edition includes an additional 4-level mini-campaign, an improved army AI and a new class: the monk.
