Product description

The most popular sorcerer of gaming history returns to the PC and puts you under his spell, due to the fascinating encounter of the third kind in his latest point & click adventure. In „Simon the Sorcerer 5“, the disastrous magician Simon delivers a whole new level of humor. Experience an idyllic as well as dangerous fantasy world, haunted by trigger-happy aliens, and travel numerous highly detailed places, like the magical city, the Caribbean Sea, or even space.

The story

It happens just on New Year’s Eve: As Simon opens the door to his magic shop, he stares right into the face of two green, grinning creatures who immediately charge their ray guns and fire at him! With a trick, he manages to shake off the invaders, but this is just the beginning. Beyond the gates of the city, an entire army of these green aliens seems to be preparing themselves to destroy not only the Magic World, but Earth itself. Facing this overwhelming threat, Simon has to make use of all tricks he can think of in order to prevent the destruction of his world. Does he have to fight by himself? No, of course not! As the story unfolds, Simon is reunited with various old friends like the Swampling, the nasty little Red Riding Hood or Goldilocks, who are – more or less – willing to help.

Discover a fascinating world!

On his rescue mission, Simon is going to explore many different places. Besides the medieval looking magical city, our eloquent hero is going to visit numerous locations, discovering futuristic looking underworlds or idyllic Caribbean beaches, and even travels with steam powered starships through the infinity of space. Unfortunately, there’s no time for sightseeing, as numerous strange creatures cross the path of our hero, challenging him with brand new puzzles - ranging from goofy mole agents to a giant space octopus or transvestite pirates. Simon is spared nothing. Using his cheeky gab and a giant portion of trickery, Simon converts them all into involuntary helpers of the third kind.

Diverse solution methods

In its fifth adventure, TGC’s inhouse development studio, Silver Style Entertainment, creators of the critically acclaimed predecessor, provides its latest simon adventure with innovative Cel-Shading technology, creating a unique, modern, comic-like look while providing gamers with a large diversity of ways to solve puzzles throughout the game. As the story unfolds, Simon is able to approach various situations in a nasty, a brutal, or even in a friendly way. His actions are taken into a personality profile at the end of the game. In addition, multiple different ending sequences encourage the player to play through the game multiple times. Adventure beginners and pros alike will consider the integrated hint system helpful. By the click of a button, the game displays a list of Simon’s tasks, as well as their status, and offers three levels of hints. All in all, the times in which you were desperately looking for the golden thread in the game are now past, thanks to „Simon the Sorcerer 5“.
