Simon the Sorcerer: 20th Anniversary Edition is a remastered version of AdventureSoft's classic two-dimensional point-and-click adventure, originally released on PCs in 1993. Refreshed on the 20th anniversary of the game's release, the game appeared only on mobile devices running Android, and its preparation is the responsibility of the Israeli studio MojoTouch - the same, which in 2009 (previously known as iPhSoft) transferred the original version of the game to Apple devices.

The story of the game tells the adventures of the title Simon, an average teenager whose life went on a new track after he found a magical book. Simon was transferred to a magical world full of goblins, orcs and wizards. The main character must help one of the latter, Calypso. He was kidnapped by the evil magician Sordid.

It's worth mentioning that the game is full of good humour, just like the popular LucasArts adventures. It concerns almost all aspects of the game: dialogues are in most cases quite frivolous, the main character often performs "strange" activities, and the characters he meets on his way often parody different well-known people. During the game we can visit a dozen or so different places, and some of them are reached only in the further part of the game, after performing certain activities. A magical map, thanks to which you can teleport to a selected place on the board in no time at all, is a great help.

The user interface is extremely pleasant to use and is based on models taken from adventure games by Sierra or LucasArts. At the bottom of the screen there is a special bar with icons with names of actions that can be performed. When you hover over an interactive object, you can try to pick it up, watch it up, push it up, and if it is a living creature, start a conversation. Simon collects a lot of items while playing, and it's worth noting that he can carry as many things as he wants. Many of them use it to solve puzzles. However, due to the frivolous gameplay climate you have to reckon with the fact that most of the problems are solved in a rather unusual way.

Simon the Sorcerer: 20th Anniversary Edition on Android devices has tuned HD graphics and improved animations that no longer frighten with pixels like the iOS version. For the needs of the game, a touch control model was developed from scratch, as well as new menus and a system to record the state of the game. In the game there is, of course, full acting dubbing, in the original version available only on CD. For fans of oldskulu, the creators left the possibility to turn on the original graphics and sound, and even the original control model imitating the mouse cursor.
