Simon the Sorcerer 2: 20th Anniversary Edition is a remastered version of the second part of the funny adventures of a young adept of magic, whose adventures we could follow in Simon the Sorcerer. The title was refreshed on the 20th anniversary of the premiere and appeared only on mobile devices running Android. The Israeli studio MojoTouch is responsible for its preparation - the same that in 2009 (previously known as iPhSoft) transferred the original version of the game and its predecessor to Apple devices.
As a result of the know-how of the evil sorcerer Sordid, the seemingly ordinary teenager Simon ends up in a land full of elves, goblins and ugly princesses. In order to return to his world, he has to find magical fuel for a magical wardrobe, which for the duration of the whole dragon has unexpectedly become a device for a journey between dimensions. Along the way, many adventures await our hero, from a competition for a royal magician, through a cruise on a pirate ship, to discovering the secrets of an exotic island.
Like the first part of the cycle, Simon the Sorcerer 2 is full of humour at its best, as evidenced by the game's original subtitle (The Lion, the Wizard and the Wardrobe), which is a clear reference to the Narnia Story by C.S. Lewis. In the game we can find such elements as gentle mockery of well-known legends and fairy tales and a hilarious situational humour. Simon's adventures are presented in the form of hand drawn graphics with lots of animations. Logical puzzles require a bit of thought, but they are constructed clearly and transparently.
Simon the Sorcerer 2: 20th Anniversary Edition on Android devices has tuned HD graphics and improved animations that no longer frighten with pixels like the iOS version. For the needs of the game, a touch control model was developed from scratch, as well as new menus and a system to record the state of the game. In the game there is, of course, full acting dubbing, available - which is rare in the case of mobile games - also in the Polish version. For fans of oldskulu, the creators left the possibility to turn on the original graphics and sound, and even the original control model imitating the mouse cursor.
