Sid Meier's Civilization V: Brave New World Description
Brave New World is the second major expansion to the popular strategy game - Sid Meier 's Civilization V. The title was developed by Firaxis Games Studio, the creators of the original game as well as its first expansion - Gods & Kings. The game introduces a number of novelties, including the Polish civilization.
The developers of Brave New World decided to introduce nine new civilizations. Each of them has its own special characteristics and leaders. E.g. the specialty of Polish nation is Solidarity, and their leader - Casimir III the Great, who was a king of Poland in the years 1333-1370. New nations also mean more types of units (e.g. Polish Winged Hussars) and buildings. The game also sports new political systems and technologies as well as a complex system of ideology.
The creators has also made it possible to take care of culture by interacting with artists, who create works of art. This allows us to make our civilization known to the whole world. Its development can be further facilitated by proper trade routes between cities. An expansive trade market will allow us to reap huge profits and spread our culture and religion to the farthest corners of the globe.
Eight new world wonders were introduced into the game, including the Greek Parthenon, New York Broadway, or the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. Moreover, it is possible to participate in deliberations of the world congress. There, the decisions important for the entire world are being taken, even those concerning possible use of weapons of mass destruction.
In addition to all this, two additional scenarios were introduced, which allow you to participate in the American Civil War (taking one side of the conflict - the Union or the Confederate States of America) or conquer the territories of Africa.
