Shurado Description
Shurado is an action game developed by Ganbarion. The title was inspired by the famous Infinity Blade (although it also features mechanics from Dark Souls series) and it was released on AND and iOS, where it is distributed by using a free-to-play model with microtransactions.
Plot
In Shurado for AND and iOS the player assumes the role of a samurai whose body was taken away from him after he died. As a reanimated armor he is taken to the titular hell. The protagonist doesn’t intend to give up, but in order to leave this place he must face enemies waiting for him at the stairs that lead to the exit.
Mechanics
In Shurado for AND and iOS the action is presented from the third-person perspective. The gameplay focuses on duels with enemies. Players can attack the opponents and block and parry their attacks. The title features a simple combat system – by touching the right half of the screen the character attacks and touching the left side makes the character defends. Better equipment (that enables the player to perform special attacks by pressing both halves of the screen simultaneously) can be found in lootboxes.
The key to success is both good reflex and proper management of protagonist’s stamina. The player must keep in mind that after dying, the protagonist loses his equipment – the only way to get it back is by returning to the place where he has fallen. Between the battles the action isn’t limited to observation – the player can look around and gather flames that regenerate vital energy and power of the weapon.
Technical aspects
Shurado features high quality graphics – both detailed character and enemy models, as well as the environments look well. Climatic soundtrack and sound effects are worth mentioning as well.
