Shardpunk: Verminfall is a tactical RPG with survival elements. The game makes heavy use of steampunk aesthetics, tasking the player with leading a group of survivors out of a city overran by humanoid rats.
Shardpunk: Verminfall is a combination of an RPG and turn-based strategy. It was developed by Polish studio Clockwork Pile.
Plot
The game is set in a steampunk universe overran by hordes of humanoid rats. Humanity's lost the war against them, the player's task being to rescue as many people as possible from the besieged capital.
Mechanics
Shardpunk: Verminfall combines RPG and strategy mechanics, sprinkling in some survival elements as well. The game focuses on turn-based combat, during which we command a small squad.
Eliminating enemies, however, is secondary. Our priority is to escape the level. The player must also gather resources, find survivors and escort them to safe bunkers.
The game heavily emphasizes its survival elements. Resources are always scarce, never enough for all of the player's needs. This forces tough decisions, for example who to heal or who to feed.

The game only supports singleplayer.
Technical aspects
The game boasts simple, yet atmospheric, appealing 2D visuals, making use of an old-school pixelated artstyle.
