An upgraded version of Gauntlet, a title with arcade origins known from early stages of PC gaming. The remade version (released in 2014 on PC) was developed by Arrowhead Game Studios. Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is a new incarnation of a dungeon crawler released on arcade machines in 1985. The players enter a fantasy world, and their task is to explore grim dungeons inhabited by dangerous monsters (giant spiders, armed skeletons), or even ghosts. We can choose from one of four heroes (Warrior, Valkyrie, Elf, and Wizard), different in terms of playstyle as well as powers and abilities. Aside from the single player mode, a multiplayer module has been introduced (online, as well as locally). Compared with the PC version, Gauntlet: Slayer Edition has better visuals, and more balanced gameplay.

A modern remake of the legendary dungeon crawler game, originally released in 1985. The game was the base for several better or worse productions and had multiple sequels for almost all platforms. The new Gauntlet was developed by Arrowhead, known for the Magicka series. Mechanics-wise, the game is a classic top-down arcade production with role-playing elements. You play as heroes traversing expansive dungeons, which are inhabited by monsters and ghosts. You can choose one of the four character classes: Warrior, Valkyrie, Elf, and Wizard, each of them having their unique combat system and special abilities. The game focuses heavily on the co-op system, which can involve up to 4 players playing via Internet or local network. Gauntlet features modern visuals based on the the original game.
