Samurai Jack: The Amulet of Time is a fairly classic two-dimensional platformer. In many ways this title resembles such productions as Castlevania or Contra. The skillfulness presented in a very clear way refers, of course, to the title cartoon broadcast by the Cartoon Network station. Between 2001 and 2004, the series had more than 50 episodes and was also awarded with Emmy statuettes. Virtucraft studio is responsible for the preparation of this game, which has also developed, among other things, pocket editions of the adventures of other cartoon characters. These included games such as Dexter's Lab or Powerpuff Girls. The Amulet of Time was created exclusively with a single player in mind. This game does not contain any multiplayer modes.
In the course of the game we play the role of the title samurai. Jack is sent on another dangerous mission. This time the sorcerer Aku orders him to find the title amulet of time, thanks to which he will also be able to return to the past. The player's task is to collect all fragments of the amulet. He will also have to defeat the evil Aku. The game does not only focus on eliminating enemies you meet along the way. The player also takes care of other activities. Many of these actions are modelled on the Castlevania series. Among other things, the player has to find better armor that can make the hero stronger, or extend his health bar. Additional skills also appear when fragments of the amulet have accumulated. These include actions related to the use of flames or other elements. Some of these activities also allow you to overcome the obstacles you encounter. The player also meets NPCs who can give him valuable tips. Samurai Jack visually: The Amulet of Time performs very well, mainly because the graphics presentation style is similar to the series. The main character is well animated and the environment is rich in details.
