Samsara Room is a remake of a surreal point-and-click adventure game. The game is produced by the Rusty Lake studio, which specializes in this type of games. The portfolio of Dutch developers includes the Rusty Lake and Cube Escape series.

Plot

The action of the game takes place in 1935 after the events presented in Rusty Lake: Roots. The player takes on the role of the oldest generation of the William Vanderboom family. During the events shown in this game, our protagonist dies and then is resurrected by his granddaughter.

Samsara Room shows the path of William Vanderboom's soul back to that reborn body. For this purpose, it defeats various versions of the title room, where it solves successive puzzles.

Mechanics

Samsara Room is a point-and-click adventure game. The gameplay is therefore based on exploring and solving puzzles that will unlock the portal to another version of the location. Often it is the solution to a given problem that requires finding and skilfully combining different objects. The game focuses on making the puzzles as imaginative and unique as possible.

Technical aspects

Samsara Room is a full remake of the game released in 2015. The developers have not limited themselves to improving the graphic design. The game also has a refreshed soundtrack, developed by Victor Butzelaar, and a new story and puzzles.
