Sam & Max: Season 1 is a production prepared by Telltale Games team, known for creating Bone. Like the title mentioned here, Sam & Max is an episodic game. The subtitle itself suggests a certain similarity to television series, and not without reason. Customers who purchase the game (whether by subscribing to Turner's Game Tap or by downloading directly from Telltale's website) receive another episode of the game every month. What's more, together with each part they also get a short reminder of the events from the previous edition, as well as a preview of the next one.

The whole is made in the convention of a classic adventure with a point & click interface, watered with a large dose of humor. Once again, we meet a legendary pair of detectives: the dog Sam dressed in a suit and the crazy white rabbit Maks. Sam & Max: Season 1 acts as a kind of pilot of the series, introducing the main intrigue and black character behind the negative events. This intrigue is to combine into a whole individual episodes, each of which tells a separate story.

One of the main intentions of the authors is to create characters that will appeal not only to fans of comics about Sam and Max (because the game is based on them), but also to people not familiar with the two crazy characters so far. Our detectives cooperate closely with Bosco and Sybil when investigating (searching for evidence and solving intrigue is diversified by such arcade elements as driving vehicles or shooting with guns). The former is a heavily grown, suspiciously hairy forearms, a gadget that provides Sam and Max with a variety of gadgets to help them survive in extreme situations (similar to James Bond's superspy, Q not accidental). Sybil, on the other hand, is a small, not high therapist and tattoo artist in one person. The authors of the series intend to take a close look at how the heroes are perceived by the community of players. Increasing or decreasing the incidence of side forms is therefore not excluded.

For those who don't like the game played in installments, the whole series will be released on one DVD.
