Saint Kotar is a point and click adventure game focusing on the fate of two characters woven into a series of peculiar and dark events in a small town where a series of murders takes place. Red Martyr Entertainment studio is responsible for the game.

Plot

Saint Kotar takes place in the mountainous regions of Croatia, where there is a hidden ancient town called Sveti Kotar, struggling with a wave of haunting disasters. There is a series of macabre murders and peculiar phenomena which, according to rumors, have something to do with black magic and Satan's cult.

We play the role of two characters: Benedek Dohnane and Nikolai Kalaykin, who try to understand the essence of these events. However, they do not suppose that this will lead them to discover the unpleasant mystery of this age-old place.

Mechanics

Saint Kotar is a point and click adventure game that can be described as a psychological thriller, inspired by such classics as Black Mirror or Gabriel Knight. We visit more than 70 disturbing but rich in lore locations created for the world, playing the role of two protagonists. The gameplay of each of them offers a different storyline and allows us to understand the history of the town from different perspectives, which is also influenced by our discoveries and decisions.

Technical aspects

Saint Kotar is a game that combines three-dimensional objects and character models with a two-dimensional, hand-painted graphic layer, full dialogue and atmospheric soundtrack.

The game premiere was preceded by a free prologue entitled Saint Kotar: The Yellow Mask.
