Romancing SaGa 2

The brushed up edition of 1993's Romancing SaGa 2. It is simultaneously the first installment in the series to be released outside of Japan and intended for mobile devices (Android, iOS). The storyline is set in a fantasy world, which has been invaded by the Seven Heroes – a group of legendary champions, who, for reasons unknown, have transformed into demons and threaten human existence. The fight with the invaders is taken up by the royal dynasty, the members of which are controlled by the player. As the ruler he or she has to tend to the nation’s growth, acquire new resources, cleanse and take control of dungeons and also appoint a heir. With each generation the king becomes considerably wiser and stronger, which at some point will allow him to challenge the Seven. In Romancing SaGa 2 we will also come across numerous heroes, who will join the player’s team and aid him in his fight against the monsters. The battles are carried out in a turn-based fashion, typical for Japanese RPGs. Furthermore, the visual style of the production draws a lot of inspiration from older types of role-playing games by way of its 2D graphics and distinctive soundtrack.

We play the role of one of the eight available characters and together with the gathered team we travel through the land of Mardias in order to stop the evil forces awakening from falling asleep. We are fighting turn-based duels, developing character skills and getting better and better equipment, preparing for the final start, on which the fate of the world depends.

Eighth installment of the popular series of Japanese role-playing games SaGa. The production tells two different stories taking place in the fantasy world of Sandail. One of them focuses on the prince banished for his lack of magical abilities, the other draws the fate of several generations of the family of explorers of the mysterious artifact. The game consists mainly of free exploration of the vast world, talking with independent characters and fighting in turn-based battles in three different variants. The title is distinguished by an attractive watercolour graphic design.

The first release for PlayStation and the seventh installment of the popular jRPG series. The production action takes place in a universe consisting of several planets, between which the player can move freely. The story is divided into seven separate stories, presented from the perspective of different protagonists. In terms of gameplay mechanisms, the title is a classic representative of a genre where exploration, role-playing and turn-based duels lead the way.
