Rubber Bandits

Rubber Bandits is a crazy arcade game, prepared mainly for multiplayer. It was developed by an independent studio Flashbulb.

Plot

In Rubber Bandits the storyline doesn't play a particularly important role. We play as the titular rubber bandits, who cooperate, making successive robberies, while competing with each other for who will get the biggest loot.

Game mechanics

In Rubber Bandits we watch the action from the top-down view. We take control over the rubber bandit, whose appearance we can modify freely. As we progress, we unlock new costumes, so we can lead to the battle both a burglar from a real life, as well as a cowboy or a character looking like a banana.

In the game we fight fierce battles for the biggest loot in various locations. Among the arenas we can find a bank, museum and port. The gameplay is very dynamic and we have to fight with the remaining bandits using everything we can (we're talking about cold and firearms as well as some less obvious objects such as a rubber flamingo or a baguette). In addition, during the game you have to watch out for traps. The chaos here is completed by the environment which is highly destructible.

Game modes

Rubber Bandits allows you to play solo, but the title shines in multiplayer mode. We can play with other players both on the same screen and over the Internet. We can find here three game modes. In addition to the arcade mode designed for solo play, there is a robbery mode, where we make jumps together, and a brawl mode, where we can focus on fighting with other players.

Technical aspects

Graphics in Rubber Bandits is in colorful, cartoon style. The characters we play as bring to mind the popular Minions. A special physics engine takes care of the realistic behavior of the bandits and the destruction of the environment.
