Roots of Pacha

Roots of Pacha is an RPG game with economic strategy and life sim elements. It's the debut production of Soda Den.

Plot

The game is set in the Stone Age. The playable character is a caveman, whose tribe has just settled in a new, fertile area. Our task is to turn this place into a home for our people and grow in harmony alongside nature.

Mechanics

Roots of Pacha lets the player experience a caveman's life in form of a game combining RPG, strategy and life simulation elements.

We explore the world in search of crops, collect them, plant them near the village and harvest once they're ready. We handle animals in the same way, looking for species suitable for domestication. Players can also set out into dangerous areas, such as caves, in search of useful treasure.

Our village starts off small and primitive, but grows and develops over time. We can learn how to craft tools and discover various useful skills, such as food preservation and metalworking. We can also invent new buildings and even art to enrich our tribe's culture.

We must also nurture relationships with other villagers, make friends, solve problems together and invite people from other tribes to join us.

Game modes

The game is playable in singleplayer and online co-op.

Technical aspects

The 2D visuals of Roots of Pacha make use of a bright, appealing pixelated artstyle.
