Rogue Land

Rogue Land is an action game with roguelike elements, in which we fight with hordes of enemies on various maps. It was developed by Huuuge Games, the producer of many other mobile games in their portfolio.

Plot

The story in the game does not play an important role, being rather a pretext for play. It tells about an ancient force that summoned monsters to this world. As a member of a group of brave Heroes we will undertake the task of taming the power of the Elements, allowing us to break through to the source of evil. In pursuit of this goal, we'll have to write our own Legend.

Game mechanics

The world in the game has been divided into levels, available to us in a predetermined order. We observe the action from the top-down view. We direct our character by pressing a special directional key and when we want to attack an enemy, we have to stop. The hero then aims at the nearest opponent and shoots a projectile at him. If we play as a melee character, we go near the enemy. The protagonist automatically strikes when the enemy is in range.

Opponents have different skills and appear in groups, complementing each other with the type of attacks. During the game we meet goblins, boars and other creatures that can charge at us, shoot at us or attack melee. In addition to regular enemies, at the end of each level we face powerful bosses. For defeated foes we get special blue points. When we gather enough of them, we get the opportunity to choose the skill that our character will gain.

Locations are mostly linear and only sometimes we can select the path from two available tracks. Opening chests or destroying objects in the environment, we get gold coins that allow us to upgrade our equipment while in the preparation panel. For some missions we can also receive new equipment, improving selected stats of the character. As we make progress in the game, we unlock new Heroes with their own appearance, character and abilities.

Technical aspects

The game has an eye-pleasing fairy-tale graphics, the details of which have been reduced due to the technological limitations of mobile phones.
