The title is developed by the independent studio Owlchemy Labs under the watchful eye of the creators of the cartoon, including Justin Roiland. During gameplay, you take control of the titular heroes and travel through a number of locations from the TV series, where you can have fun with Rick’s crazy gadgets.

Rick and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rick-ality released on PS4 and PC is a 3D title for VR goggles, in which the player takes control of the heroes from the cartoon series Rick and Morty. The title is developed by Owlchemy Labs famous for their Job Simulator, one of the most popular VR game from 2016. While developing the game, the studio consulted the writers of the TV series, including Justin Roiland, its creator and director. Rick and Morty debuted in American Adult Swim television in 2013. This humorous and satirical cartoon for adults is about the adventures of a genius scientist Rick and his clumsy grandson Morty.
Plot
In the game, you assume the roles of Rick and Morty and embark on an original adventure in the cartoon’s world. The title is filled with controversial, sarcastic humour and visual jokes.
Mechanics
Rick and Morty Simulator: Virtual Rick-ality published on PS4 and PC is a sandbox arcade title which presents the action from the first-person perspective. The players have fun with Rick’s crazy contraptions in the laboratory placed in his daughter’s house. Just like in Job Simulator, there is a set of missions that can be accomplished in numerous ways and with the use of various items of unique properties. Throughout the game, you open portals which take you to different locations, including alien planets and dimensions.
Technical aspects
The title is prepared for HTC Vive VR goggles and its two controllers with which you manipulate the hero’s hands. The 3D cartoon visuals imitate the series’ style. The physics engine deserves special praise, as it is responsible for the proper behaviour of items that interact with each other in a crazy way.
