ReRoll is a survival game produced by Canadian studio Pixyul, founded by Julien Cuna and Louis-Pierre Pharanda - former employees of Ubisoft, who have co-created the Assassin's Creed and Far Cry series. The title, unlike other projects of this type, is distinguished by the technology used. The creators, working with senseFly, accurately photographed fragments of the globe using drones and created 3D objects from thousands of images, used to fill the environment. In addition, production is linked to the real world (Reality System Sync), offering a 24-hour daily system, with day and night cycles and changing weather conditions depending on what we see outside the window.
The action takes place in a world that is bending towards decline and values that have hitherto had some meaning (power, money, etc.) will not provide food and shelter for anyone. The player's task is to survive in a completely new environment. In order to do this, it is necessary to take care, among other things, of food, which is not easy to get. You can search for consumable plants yourself or attack another player who did it for you. With the right tools, you can grow vegetables yourself, and with the use of weapons you can hunt wild animals.
An important element is also crafting, i.e. the system of manufacturing tools, weapons and more. It also includes the production of cartridges by hand and the modification of the acquired vehicle. Elements necessary to create new items are obtained by exchanging them with other players or NPCs, or by taking them away from defeated enemies.
The title is closely related to the real world, thanks to Reality System Sync (RSS). This means that in the game, as in reality, the day and night is divided into day and night, there are variable weather conditions, and all this depends on where our character is in the game. In addition, the hero lives his own life, so before leaving the computer you should find him a shelter, and in order not to waste time during his absence, it is worth to ask him to train himself in a chosen activity.
