Renai Karichaimashita: Koikari - Love For Hire is a visual novel adventure game with a romantic comedy theme. The game was developed by the Japanese team ASa Project, which specializes in this genre and also produced such games as Acchi Muite Koi, Puramai Wars and Hime nochi Honey. The game debuted on PC in Japan in 2019 and featured numerous erotic scenes. These were all removed in the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions released three years later. The same was done with the English-language PC version, which was released on Steam. In this case, however, on the website of the publisher of this release, the company NekoNyan, you can download for free a patch that brings back these sequences.

Plot

The action of the game takes place in modern Japan. The main character is a high school student Shinkai Yuki, who wants to provide his sister with a comfortable life and therefore takes various odd jobs, often returning home late at night.

The boy intended to start working full-time after graduation, but his sister has threatened that if he doesn't go to college, she won't either. So Yuki needs to quickly get the money he needs to pay his university tuition. To do so, he hires at the school's temporary employment agency. To his surprise, the assignments he receives there turn out to be highly unusual. He is hired by various students to pretend to be their boyfriend, lover, friend, and even brother. All of these relationships are fake at first, but as time goes by they become more and more real.

Renai Karichaimashita: Koikari - Love For Hire is a conventionally realized visual novel adventure game. It' s all about following the plot and making decisions which shape the further development of the story.

The game is strongly non-linear. Our initial decisions direct the plot to one of five alternative paths, and then influence the course of each of them. As a result, the production has to be played through multiple times to see all the stories it has to offer.
