Red Matter is an adventure game designed for VR sets. During the game, the player takes on the role of an astronaut, who is sent to one of Saturn's moons to investigate an abandoned research facility. Vertical Robot is responsible for the development and release of the title.
Plot
The action of Red Matter takes place in a dystopian vision of the Cold War. The player takes on the role of an Atlantic Union astronaut, Agent Epsilon. He is sent to Rhea, one of Saturn's moons, to investigate an abandoned research facility.
Mechanics
Red Matter is based on exploration of an abandoned research base and solving logic puzzles. With the help of elements of the environment and technology, the player solves subsequent puzzles, bringing him closer to solving the mystery of the facility. Some of the puzzles require playing with perspective or rotating the item.
Technical aspects
Red Matter features realistic visuals. The creators made sure that the world presented in the game was as detailed as possible. It should also be noted that the title requires VR sets to work - Valve Index, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Windows Mixed Reality or PlayStation VR.
