Doctor Who: The Edge of Time is an adventure game that uses virtual reality technology. It uses motifs known from BBC's science fiction series Doctor Who. Gamers play the title character and go to the rescue of the universe. Maze Theory is responsible for the production.
Plot
The story described in Doctor Who: The Edge of Time revolves around a mysterious virus that destroys reality. The players take on the role of the thirteenth incarnation of the title Doctor (played by Jodie Whittaker), who is trying to save the universe. In order to do this, the heroine begins her journey through space to acquire time crystals that can repair the damage.
Mechanics
Doctor Who: The Edge of Time uses motifs known from the series. Players use the TARDIS, a spacecraft and a time machine, to traverse planets at the same time. During their adventures, they solve logic puzzles, fight opponents (among them Daleks and Weeping Angels), and use the sonic screwdriver.
